How crowded does Bow Bridge get for photos?
Very, by midday — it is the most photographed bridge in the park. We shoot Bow Bridge at sunrise or within the first hour of golden light, when you can often have the span nearly to yourself.
What subway stop is closest to Bow Bridge?
The 72nd Street stations on both sides of the park are closest — the B/C on Central Park West or the 1/2/3 at 72nd and Broadway. From either, it is a 10-minute walk to the bridge via Cherry Hill.
Can you photograph a rowboat session at Bow Bridge?
Yes — the Loeb Boathouse rents rowboats seasonally, and photos from the water with Bow Bridge behind you are a signature shot. Allow an extra 45 minutes and check seasonal boathouse hours.
