We recommend booking 2–4 weeks ahead for standard sessions and 4–6 weeks for proposals and elopements. That said, we hold a limited number of next-day slots for visitors — reach out and we’ll do our best to fit you in.
Every booking includes one free reschedule for weather. If your travel dates are fixed, we can often shoot under the covered arcade at Bethesda Terrace, or shift the session earlier or later in the day around the rain.
You’ll get a sneak peek of 5–10 images within 48 hours, and your full edited gallery within 5 business days. Express 48-hour full delivery is available for visitors heading home sooner.
Many simple handheld portrait sessions do not require a permit, but commercial setups, extra equipment, reserved areas, Conservatory Garden sessions, and events can have different rules. Special events with 20 or more attendees require a NYC Parks permit. We help you verify the current requirements for your exact plan.
After booking, you’ll receive our styling guide with season-specific recommendations. As a rule: solid colors and long dresses photograph beautifully against the park, and layers give us variety without outfit changes.
Yes — it’s our specialty. We coordinate everything with you in advance over text, position ourselves out of sight, and use a subtle signal system so you know exactly when we’re ready. Your partner will never spot us.
A 50% deposit secures your date and time; the balance is due the day before your session. We accept all major cards, Apple Pay, and international payments.
Absolutely. Family reunions, quinceañeras, corporate retreats, and wedding parties are all welcome — contact us for custom group pricing beyond 12 people.
Central Park Photos plans sessions with photographers who know Central Park in detail — including exactly where the light lands on Bow Bridge at 7 am in October, when the elms on The Mall turn gold, and how to keep a proposal a complete surprise on the busiest weekend of spring.
Whether you're a visitor booking a vacation photoshoot, a graduate from Columbia or NYU planning graduation portraits, or a couple planning an elopement at the Ladies' Pavilion, every session includes expert location routing, timing built around the light, and a fully edited gallery within five days. Packages start at $695 and booking takes less than two minutes.
